Taken from HERE
Garrucha Fiestas: The Garrucha fiesta takes place each year around the 14th August over 4 days and consists of events around the village. Each night there is a fair, live music and lots of drinking and eating along the beach promenade. Like most fiestas in Spain it ends with a firework display. On the 16th July the fishermen of Garrucha, honour the Virgen del Carmen that protects them while at sea. The image is taken in a procession from the church to a boat, and then it is taken out to sea for a blessing. All the fishing boats gather around at sea for the blessing.

Think July was a misprint !

The Virgen del Carmen fiesta is on the 16th July.
There is another fiesta in Garrucha on 16th August for San Joaquin.
The fair that Simon mentioned wasn't there just for the fiesta last year as we went past it on a number of occasions during our 2 week stay. I will put a post on the Thalassa forum & someone who has been over recently may know.

i knew I should've waited for you to post Noreen as you'd have first hand knowledge of it, as likely would Mark.

The fair isn't huge, but does have bumper cars, a pirate ship, some modern equivalent of the waltzers and plenty of tombola, air rifle, pick a duck type things. A small amount of pictures on my Facebook page here.
