Setting up a (very!) limited company?
The Comments |
Hi, Maria, (or anyone else!)
If my husband has his own (watercolour teaching) company, can he employ me as another (music) teacher? Or can we be a two-person teaching company? What is the best thing to do without a) having to pay two lots of social security which will cripple us, b) having to fill in hundreds of legal documents? Thank you, Andy and Donna

Hi Donna,
Didn't see a reply to this and only just found it. Once you are an "autonomo" you can have as many businesses as you like effectively, you only need to pay it once, however if Andy employs you then he will need to pay social security on your behalf but as far as I know it will not be the full amount as you will be an employee and not an employer. You will be covered for health under his autonomo anyway so dont need that status yourself.
Hope your windows survived,
Rex.

Hi Donna,
You have two choice to do, one of them is that your husband contract you as "autonomo", and depend on the hours you work, you pay to the social security. The second one is that you husband contract you as employee, and the company has to pay your social security. In any case, as you are the wife´s partner of the company, you could not have any subsidy.
