Spanish Weather

Does anybody have any views/answers to the weather along the Costa Del Sol this winter?

We seem to have suffered cold/wet weather and cold winds for weeks and weeks now (bar the odd occasional sunny day) and there seems no end to it?

All of the articles speak of 320 sunny days guaranteed per year. Am I right in presuming that within a day or two our weather will change and that every day will be sunny until year end?

Just look at it this way, the weather is far worse the further you travel North in Spain, and as for the rest of Northern Europe it is still Winter Woollies and thermal undies time!

As for me, most of last week and the week before I was wearing a t-shirt and shades.

 Yeah, I'm not sure where this "320 days of sunshine" think comes from. We certainly get our fair share of bad weather, especially during the winter. And now we're coming into March which is often referred to as "marzo falso" false March, as the weather is so variable during the month.

Mind you, April onwards is normally excellent weather....for months....

We are in the Costa Calida, Mar Menor area and today the weather has been mad. We started with sunshine, had torrential rain and gale force winds then more sunshine - within about 3 hours.  This afternoon we had hailstones!  My dd had never seen hailstones before today. It´s the madess March ever, as all week it has been really sunny and quite warm whereas tonight we have the heating on.  One minute it is sunny the next minute torrential.  Weirdest day for weather today definetely!

Thanks jedk.  We are in the UK, packing tonight to catch a flight in the morning - wasnt sure what to pack - shorts, t shirt, now overcoat!

Chilly start here in the UK, with frost covering the grass & rooftops.

Up early at 5.00 am, things on my mind and feeling blue...............

However, I just read Jedk's Daughters' web pages and it brought sunshine to my day......... literally!
