My daughter and her family have just booked car hire through Holiday Autos and been told it will be through Auriga Crown. Can anybody confirm please as to whether they are on site at Murcia airport? I thought I had read somewhere that they were 'off-site', which won't be very convenient.

Yes they are on site in the building at San Javier airport - used them 3 weeks ago.

Regards,

Alan

Just to let you know, you may be getting a better deal by booking through 'do you spain'.  No deposit, reliable, no charges to cancel and use all the local hire companies.

Also we make several visits a year and now have bought over the internet,  annual excess cover which cost £39.99 and covers anything that isn't covered by the hire company (including tyres and glass etc.).  We found that different hire companies had different terms and conditions.

Yes, Auriga Crown are in the arrivals area of Murcia airport. Be warned though, they can be very slow at processing customers. They do now provide the warning triangle and a hi vis jacket which you also sign for, so make sure they are there before driving off. Exit the arrivals hall, turn right and into the large car park. Auriga Crown are at the end.

If you're going to use DoYouSpain, watch out for their online exchange conversion!  They're currently using €1.20=£1 - today's rate is €1.12=£1.  Don't forget, you pay in Euros.

Oh yes, and their usual supplier (Record) charge a €30 deposit for triangle and jacket.

Hi

We use Carjet rental agency regularly and never had any problems, their website is very user friendly and covers all the major destinations.

We used Auriga Crown last week, good sevice but slow check in due to many customers (probably as they are the cheapest on line)

We booked with Economy Car Hire and paid for additional insurance for tyres etc but when we arrived we had to pay again for this, if not we would have had to pay a 300 Euro deposit, so just to make anyone aware to purchase the extra insurance on arrival and not in advance.

Overall, a good service and would use it again when we travel in the summer
