I have amassed quite a few points on my Jet2 account so I thought I would book a flight using them and see what the 'catch' was.
Well for one they are not quite 'free' you have to pay the taxes which as everybody knows can amount to quite a lot of money and two, there are blackout periods during which you cant book the 'free' flights.
It does not specifically tell you what these blackout periods are on their Terms & Conditions but one of the periods is between July 16th and September 7th.
However dont knock it I got a flight from Murcia back to Leeds for 18 euros in the blackout period cos I asked the lovely lady in the Leeds ( yes thats right Leeds call centre ) nicely !!!
