50p per month for everyone with a fixed land line?; It will cost more than this to administer the new tax...but it's just a start...and using the pretext that it is to improve broadband facilities in the UK is just a load of cr*p;

Freedom of Speech in the UK is an anathema to the present regime and they have more control over the media and broadcasting than at any time since WW2.

Mandelsons mob wont be happy until they have control of the UK Internet...

There are very few things they don't or won't tax. Best not to mention them as it could give them ideas! I am frankly glad to be out of the UK as I really do not like the authoritarian and intrusive tone of things there these days.
