Breakdown Assistance with Car Hire

I wonder if any of the car rental companies have offers and ways of assisting our visitors to Spain. It has been brought to my attention by a regular holidaymaker that the company from which he hires a vehicle during his stay here no longer include breakdown assistance unless paid for seperately. He was quoted a very large sum for this service so I found him a cheaper alternative.

Would you please let me know the name of the alternative company Myra?  I will need to hire a car in December/January, and have visited several car hire web sites in the past few weeks to arrange this None of them inspire confidence!  Could someone also tell me how much approximately a litre of unleaded petrol costs in Spain?

All the main stream car hire operators provide breakdown assistance......which car hire operator is it that does NOt provide cover ???

Never heard of this one before in all my years of hiring cars in Spain.

A litre of unleaded is around 1,05 Euros presently.
