Capital gains Tax Question?
The Comments |
Apologies if this has been covered before.
I just want to know after paying all the relevant taxes on a property sold in Spain. Do you also have to pay capital gains tax back in Britain? If so, can you off-set them?
And am I right in believing Spanish capital gains is now set at 15% and not 35%?
Thank you in advance.

Dear Verona,
You have not to pay capital gains tax in Britain, you could off-set the taxes you pay in Spain in your next tax return in Britain.
Spanish capital gains is at 18%.
