I received an email from our solicitors yesterday, they really should know better!! It was a "round robin" to all their non resident clients about the upcoming tax payments. Instead of placing all our email addresses into the BCC (blind carbon copy) area of the email programme so we would all remain anonymous, they were placed in the CC (carbon copy) area for all recipients to see . I now have an email with about 100 email addresses of their clients and the 100 or so will also have everyone elses address. What a breach of data protection .
I have of course emailed them to be met with silence. I have even taken the extreme measure of posting on the solicitor's Facebook page in an attempt to get some answers. Not even an apology .
I do wonder why, if people do not understand the technology, they are allowed to use it without proper and thorough training!!!!
