On our Urbanization in Casares, now that the majority of the apartments have been purchased , we are trying to get a new President, present one lives in Madrid, as does the Administrator. There are lots of issues with the community, as well as debts that the community are incurring. A group of owners, who live permanently at the urbanisation, called an EGM for 8/8 , the President them called an AGM to be held on 10/9, when most people had returned home.
The current President and Administrator have now changed the bank account so that none of our direct debits for our community charge have been collected. We have managed to find the new account details and most of us have paid online, my question is surely this cannot be allowed to happen without notifying the residents of the community. We believe they have done this so that people are in arrears for the AGM and will not be allowed to vote, therefore we will not be able to vote the current President and team out. We do have a lawyer working with the owners who live permanently at the site.
Those of us not able to attend on 10/9 have given our Proxy Vote to the group that has been set up, so we are hoping that we can have a new start.
The whole community is in a real mess and nothing seems to be being done yet we believe they are collecting in the region of 10,000 Euros a month, we have very little maintenance done, very few light working, lifts breaking down.
They have not had a meeting for nearly 2 years, no accounts provided .
Any comments especially on the bank issue would be gratefully recieved.
