 Does anyone know the current position regarding renting out private apartments in Mallorca for holiday lets i.e. to tourists? I've seen conflicting views. Some indicate that this is illegal without a license (which is next to impossible to get), others that it's ok provided you don't offer services such as front-desk. Any thoughts?

I'm considering buying a holiday apartment in Mallorca and will be non-resident. Let's say the apartment will cost €150,000 and will be a cash purchase. In the event of my death, how do I calculate how much IHT my wife would be liable for?

Hello

We have friends who live in Murcia. They say that it's so hot during the day that they stay inside most of the time, venturing out early morning and late afternoon. Having just come back from a week's hols in Mallorca where it hit 38 degrees - in June - I can see what they mean! There's a big difference between loving the sun on holiday and having to stay out of it methinks.
