What about the black hole of people who have only become residents this year and won't complete a residents tax return until next year, how is the hacienda going to know our income?  We aren't trying to fool anyone, we will pay non residents tax for this year and start paying residents tax next year.

Glyn,  We only became residents in January this year, so aren't elible to pay tax until next year, we will be paying non residents tax this year.   I just wondered if we could register ourselves so they know what our income is for payment of prescriptions.  I think we will go to see an Asesoria and ask the question.

Can we declare to the tax office now what our pensions are even though we won't be paying residents tax until next year?  My husband is diabetic and needs monthly prescriptions.
