Hi Kenny , i can understand how you feel.
We have just returned on Tuesday, from staying in a apartment in los dolses, nr villa martin square, La Zenia. On the Monday morning/ Sunday Night, while we were asleep, someone broke into the apartment and robbed us. My husband had been woken by the thunder and lighting at 5 am, he went into the lounge area and noticed the front door wasn't closed properley. He asked me if i had been out for a cig - i hadn't. He shut the door and returned to bed, looking out of window he noticed the hire car had gone. Putiing two and two together we jumped out of bed!! We had put things on the side board when we came in at night i.e handbag with purse in, wallet ,camera, mobile phone, car and apartment keys. We always closed the shutters and door grill when going out, but whilst we are in we didn't close the door grill - just locked the door, which they forced open to get in.
We had to knock a neighbour up to report it to the police because we had no money or phone THE SCUMBAG had taken them. we found my bag and another lady's handbag on some steps a few doors to where we were staying - although there was nothing left in the purse and the other lady's purse had no money in but had her credit cards were still there.We gave her hand bag to the police, i hope she got it back.
Going home the day after, was a relief, because i was scared to go to sleep in case it happened again - I made my husband put the settee to the door and we slept in the lounge. PLEASE - if anybody does leave their grill open at night be prepared for visitors!! My advise would be always lock your grill - it's suprising how many people leave them open .
