Hi to all you British expats living here in Spain. I live in Barcelona and concerned about my immigration status post Brexit, I found this Spanish lawyer who is also an English Barrister. He has helped to allay confusion and given me good advice on what to do, how to do it and when.

For a very small cost of course.

Ha....yea like a fortune builder for the lawyer, posted by a new entrant with no details added.  And all this without any full Brexit information to pass on as yet.

Priceless     The Wild West is here again, give us your money.

So come on original poster, who are you and what’s your angle (probably a part time estate agent as well I wager)

A fortune teller with a crystal ball🙄🙄

Damm good things these crystal balls,  while ago a fortune teller came on my business selling them, promised me that the ball knew everything about everything, she knew her business..But...Price was to low and I recon she had made a mistake costing them out, so she didn't know everything,   I had her down for not knowing the real true cost of these,  well I ain't no mug either when it comes to pricing things, I properly ripped her of, bought 3 of them.

Jeeepers Brian, you wont believe this but a little while ago I was checking them out and at 11.15 am one of them told me a tall dark very wealthy stranger will be contacting me via a very well known popular website that I use, low and behold at 11.39 am....How uncanny is that.

The other two are useless....They tell lies.

Hi there, I am the original thread poster. Thank you all for your comments.

There were no crystal balls present. I appreciate that nobody has a full handle on what will happen post brexit, but there are already some things which are obvious. In order to be able to adopt a possible new European immigration status (mirroring the already agreed settled status which Britain has decided to create) or simply to have a valid immigration status post brexit, it is helpful (your lifejacket) to already be registered (a lot of Brits in Spain are not, which is understandable as we have had the right to be here for the last 25 years and very little hassle from authorities for not being).

There are two types of registered status. Resident and permanent resident. Permanent resident is obviously more desirable if you wish to continue liing in Spain post brexit. The advice I have had is to obtain this. This is a more complicated status to obtain for some of us than for others. The advice I received was with reference to this (which changes from region to region.)

So, if you have no worries, and are avoiding the crystal ball while you wait for the axe to fall, send me some more of yer blithe comments. If you have a few concerns, let me know, I might be able to point you in the right direction for some sounds advice.

Knowit.
