Deposit just can be lost if there are damages in the property to that amount.

we paid a deposit "for damages" and a months rent on a property to STAR PROPERTIES, based in COLMENAR, We haven't signed any contract, and due to a car accident are unable to take the property. we contacted STAR PROPERTIES and were told we will lose the months rent, which we expected..but they also refused to return our deposit for damage, despite the fact that we have never set foot in the property. they have stopped my husbands emails being sent to their base..Calle Del Pilar 23 29170 Colmenar. be aware of these scammers people..avoid them. their bank account is in HOLLAND.. the name it is under is ADRIAAN SCHELTENS. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF BY THEM.

Never paid any amount in a rental without a proper revision of the rental contract.
Always submit rentals to arbitration better than courts
