Legal tip 496. Spain will not sell property abroad till...
Monday, April 11, 2011 @ 12:50 PM

I almost die this morning when I read Blanco ( the Secretary of Public Works) is endeavouring for a new Road Show to sell the property stock abroad after meeting with Banks and developers

Come on....

Are there...?

-No new ideas?

-No meetings with consumers?

-No meeting with initial buyers-- mostly foreigns in coastal properties-- of those properties?

- No knowledge and understanding of the reasons why they did no complete? breaches by developers? lacks of financiation?

-Is it that you just know to escape by runing ahead?

Talk to Keith Rule, read the BankGuaranteesinSpain petition and  you will know how to make hundreds of former foreign buyers, happy possible new investors in Spain. Negotiations with Consumers are necessary. You need to listen to these.

Take an examinations of past errors before starting new campaigns! Spain will not sell property abroad again till:

- Banks Guarantees problems are solved

- Consumers are restored in their rights

- Problems related to lack of independent legal dvise and its roots are faced

Maria you are but one voice.
Unfortuneatley the politicians who make these decisions DO NOT have to even pretend to understand the reasons the properties were not completed upon in the first place.
They are possibly in line for a little bonus ( if you know what I mean? Wink, Wink.) if they do manage to sell a few properties.

I just hope that my cancelled property is not/has not been re-sold whilst I wait like a cabbage for the return of my funds.

Maria, We need lawyers to proactively influence with a strong voice, to prioritorise the need for fair and TIMELY rule of law in Spain before investors will feel that Spain is a safe place to invest.

I agree with what you say María.

Blanco and Beatriz Corredor are embarking on the roadshow to promote Spanish Property around Europe. The first stop on the tour is London.

They say they want us to 'trust in the system and the transparency they provide'.

What a joke. The system cannot be trusted and there is certainly no transparency.

Oh how I would love to meet with Blanco & Corredor.

Kind regards

Keith

buying a home in Spain is investing your money into Spain.bringing your money from your sale of your home in England to Spain.having your pensions sent to Spain.is again investing into Spain.this money every month coming to Spain from the UK pensions is bigger then the export contract to America.each year.so the old age pensioners from Britain are helping Spain in there economics.so why are we treated so badly .we come over here to buy a property.the council knows of the houses which are illegal and lets them be sold.the Abogado's send out architect to find the size of the house and land.and makes out property deeds on this illegal property.the notary reads the property deeds.and sends them to the land registry.who checks them out and passes them back to the notary to stamp them with the signing of the property deeds by the abogado.which sales the illegal built home.the new owner knows nothing about this scam and moves into his new home.and after a month or two finds out his home is illegal.so what is the Spanish government doing about this scam.if the lawyers and council and land registry.does all this which is proven.why cant the house be legalized.and allow the British/German/French who buy these homes be proud to live in Spain.you know and I know some thing has got to be done.or Spain has no property laws or lawyers.

Hi Keith,
If the road show does go ahead (I've signed a petition to try and stop it) http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/stop-the-spanish-property-roadshow-open-letter-to-davi.html
I am thinking of going to London and protesting. I have some obligations for the month of June and if the timing is right I'd love to go. Anyone else?
