I have a question for you, I am British born and bred, I have a Daughter born here from a Spanish Mother, i have lived here 7 years and am well integrated in to Spanish life.

Would it benefit me in any way to take Spanish citezenship?, or am i better off with my UK Citezenship?

Well, one benefit that springs to mind, is that a Spanish passport costs far less than a British one!

That is a quite complex question with a complex answer as it depends on the field we pay attention to.

For instance, if you get the Spanish nationality you will be submitted to our marriage and inheritance Law ( marital goods, legal heirs...) ... I do not know if that is a benefit or not.

I cannot see any other benefit for a UK national as foreigners have in Spain same rights as nationals according to our Constitution and our Laws and residency is the ultimate criteria to apply for some tax benefits...
