As we approach a sense of normality and freedom following the Covid restrictions, we have a lady in the village who will stay in confinement as a lasting memory of these difficult times. You will find her looking out of her window of the Adsubian Gallery annexe in Calle Principal.
`La Confinada de Adsubia´ was created by `Aldo Nonis´ of the Adsubian Gallery, as a gift for the village.
The Adsubian Gallery opened its doors in 2016, and showcases and sells the art of over 50 artists from countries such as Spain, France, Germany, the UK and the United States. All the artists having a strong connection with Adsubia.
Adsubia is a small village of two hundred houses, situated between the sea and the mountains, restanques covered with orange trees. A main street descending towards the old washhouse that can be observed from the terrace of the gallery. A population of less than 800, of which 30 are artists, painters, sculptors, photographers, musicians and comedians. A cultural life driven by professors, journalists, a historian and writers.
Please do come and visit ´La Confinada de Adsubia´ the gallery and our wonderful village. You can be sure of a very warm welcome.
