Unique Town of Asturias 2026

Next Saturday 24th, the Llanes Fishermen’s Guild will receive the Award for Exemplary Town in Asturias from King Felipe and Queen Letizia. This will take place the day after the Princess of Asturias Awards ceremony at the Campoamor Theatre in Oviedo, a ceremony also presided over by the King and Queen.
Last year, these Awards (for Medicine, International Cooperation, Literature, Sport, etc.) were named the Princess of Asturias Awards, in honour of Princess Leonor.

Next Friday, the Princess of Asturias Awards ceremony will be held at the Campoamor Theatre, but the next saturday shall be an important day for Asturias too and it would be a good opportunity for you to visit Llanes, and perhaps some other towns as well.
