The Orchid and the Rose
Togetherness is more not less,
Completeness, two in love,
When lovers spar in passion,
Be there just one thought above:
That I shall be immersed in you,
Whilst you are one with me,
For I alone would hold you close,
When giving sets you free.
That I would kiss your full red lips,
Enchantress take me in,
For we shall live a courtly love,
Removed from lust and sin.
In naked fervour two entwine,
Forever held as forest vine,
Ardour greets love sweet and true;
You’re part of me and I of you.
I take from thee your orchid, rose,
When in our tango passion throes,
My world and yours becomes the one,
Till true love’s sated, sweetly done.
Never take an offered rose,
To crush between your fingers,
When love and lust is satisfied,
The rose inside you lingers.
