OOps, i meant Fase 4, blocks 5 and 6.

Has anyone any news on completion date for Phase 4 Block 10 please and does anyone have the room measurements please.  I am a bit concerned after reading about the size of the second bedroom because we also wanted to put in two single beds.

Hi Sandra, We were at Arenal last week to complete on our apartment on phase 3.  They told me in the sales office that block 10 should be finished in May 07 and block 9 is slightly behind and will be May/June but these dates are not yet confirmed.  I have a photo of block 10 (but only from the road side) if this is of any interest to you please send me a message with your email address an i will send it on to you.  We have a smallish second bedroom and have decided on two 80cm beds (at the suggestion of Rosemary Smith of Sunshine Interiors)  to give a more spacious feel.

Unfortunatly I have just recieved an e-mail from Mercedes at Arenal and my mortgage adviser that block 4 on phase 4 will not be ready till May!!!!  I dont know if this has anything to do with the bank taking over Arenal Golf as they now have 100% shares of Arenal and Mr Gomez no longer has any righs.  This has left me a little bit miffed as I wanted to be in around April at the latest.  What have other people heard?

Hello all,

We have returned from Spain and were on Arenal Golf site on Monday last. Just to up-date you on the news I found out:-

1.   Phase 4 completion for Blocks 5,6,7,8 and 11 is due June/July but some blocks may be as late as September as everywhere is shut in August.

2.   The mound of earth at the back of Block 1 and Phase 3 is owned by the Town Hall and is being left as it is but may be planted if Arenal Golf communities pressurise them. It is designated as a 'green area' and can't be built on, so we've been told.  This is the first we have heard of this  as we had been lead to believe it would be a tropical garden with a walkway to Phase 6 and the driving range!

3.   We were told there will not be a station at Torrequebrada at the end of the development, the nearest one is Arroyo.

4.    Bus route Line 2 Orange now comes down into the development . The bus stop is at the roundabout by the school.

5.    There are blocks being built on the other side of the golf and lake ,road-side to Blocks 1,2,3,4. These are NOT Arenal Golf but another developer and these will have a nice view over the golf at our expense!

6.  We told by the sales office that the community charges wll be about 80 euros per month when we first move in but will rise when the development is completely finished.  There is also the idea of a charge for pay as you play golf but until the communities are all set up nothing is set in stone.

7.   A lot of people in the completed phases are having satellite dishes put on the roof for Sky etc without permission in the belief they are doing nothing wrong but we have been told that in Phase 1 they have been told to remove the dishes as they are on communal areas, so don't spend any money until you are absolutly sure where you can put a dish.

Don't know when the club house will be finished, still look like a bit of a shell.  The driving range is situated over the other side of the mound of earth by Phase 6.  It is well established.  I have in fact a photo of over the other side of that hill-my husband climbed up there and took some photos. I tried to down load them yesterday 4 times but there seems to be a problem.  If you want I can send them as an attachment in an e-mail because I know this works as I sent some to another member last night. Just send me your e-mail address by private message and I will send you some photos from last week.   Block 4 Phase 4 looks more or less finished so I think you are nearly there.

Hi - has anyone any news on completion of Phase 4 Block 10 please.  We are coming out the first week in May and wondered whether it would be possible to view the apartment and does anyone have a direct contact name to arrange inspection?

Hi all on Phase 4 - here's a thought for you all.  I was watching a property program - 'living abroad' and the following came up.

An apartment was for sale in Portugal - however you only bought the apartment and did not own the land (or part own with other apartments) apartment block was on. Therefore you could live in the apartment until the land owner decided he wanted his land back !!! omg who would buy an apartment like that ??

Can we all safely assume we all own portion of land apartment blocks are built on ..... ???? help this was something I did not think of but merely assumed .........
