I don't know if anybody else has received a registered letter from Torrevieja Town Hall it reads as follows:
I spoke to mysolicitor this morning and she says nothing to worry about translated it bascially says that Gomendio the builder has made some changes to the plans for our area in Punta Prima and if you want to see what the changes are then you can go to the Town Hall and request to see them. Lets hope the changes are good news and not bad news as the Spanish building trade is a bit like the UK on the down.
Does anybody know what these changes are if so please post them?

Yes, we have received one of these letters, which we had to sign for, haven't had chance to translate it yet. Thanks for the update on the contents. Wonder what the changes are?

“I spoke to my solicitor this morning and she says nothing to worry about”
I’m not sure that I could go along with this view.
I believe that Gomendio have had to rethink the development because of rules about how close to the sea they can build. This could mean they will potentially lose a lot of money. I’m sure that they will want to recoup all they can. So here are some what ifs.
What if that hill of rubble has not been moved because they are not sure what they are going to do? We think that area is going to be a water park, what if they decide to put up some more apartments instead?
We were told that there were plans for a five star hotel down near the shoreline and €1m apartments on the plots of land nearest the promenade. What if they can’t do this now and so are planning a 14 story aparthotel behind block 12? Such a building would put most of La Recoleta in shadow for most of the morning.
I don’t think that we should be complacent, we need to find out what these new plans are.

Agreed, we all need to know what these changes are. Any one fancy a trip down to the town hall to look at the plans? How about sending emails to Gomendio, say Juan Carlos and our community administrator, Jose Morato may be able to shed some light on this, after all we do pay his wages. A concerted effort from as many as possible may produce a result. I shan't be out until August now and I would like to know before then if possible.
One thing is for sure given the current slump in sales at the mo. Gomendio will be looking to save money by perhaps not completing say the landscaping and water features. An awful lot of kit has been moved off site and not much was going on last month (may) when I was out there over the Bank Holiday.

The responce from Gesfin
Dear owners,
In reference to the letter, which has been received for many of you from the City Council, warning for the modifications of the Plan Parcial, I would like to inform you that the modification required by the developer consist of modifying the construction volume (cubic meters) of the plots just next to the sea. The change consist of reducing the meters of these plots and increasing the volume of the second line ones, but respecting the total cubic meters.
Your faithfully,
Jose Ramon Morato.
