Not sure if you will get this or not. There seems to be some sort of time limit or minimum post limit before you can use the PM facility. Not sure if this is just for sending, or if it's for receiving as well.
Anyway, here are some details of our appartment. I've also attached some images that give a better idea of what it should be like.
It's in a new development called Vista Hermosa in an area called Santa Margarita (which is between La Linea and Sotogrande...... closer to La Linea though). La Linea is the Spanish town which boarders Gibraltar.
The appartments are on a hillside, overlooking the sea and Gibraltar. Because of the position on the slope, the view will never be interrupted. It's probably less than a mile to the beach and about 4 miles to the Gibraltar boarder. If you use Google Earth, you can find an old image showing the general position at 36 degrees 12.833 mins North and 5 degrees 20.722 mins West. All you will see on the site is the site office and the road layout. There is a lot more there now !!
The appartment blocks have 3 floors (ground, middle, top) and are either 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms. Ours will be a 4 (double) bedroom, top floor appartment. There are 2 bathrooms, a large lounge / diner, a decent sized kitchen (with room for a small breakfast table) and a utility room. There is a reasonable sized, south facing terrace and 2 dedicated underground car parking spaces.
The build specifications are excellent. Marble floors throughout, double glazed windows, fitted wardrobes in every room. Telephone/TV points throughout etc.
Although Aircon is not fitted as standard, the rooms are pre ducted so all that is required is a single, large unit on the roof. We will probably fit this soon after completion.
We plan to furnish via a specialist company who provide everything, even down to the cutlery in the kitchen and curtains, bedding, pictures etc. We'll probably go for a contempory style, simple lines, dark leather sofas etc.
Not sure yet whether to furnish all the bedrooms as bedrooms, or to set one up as a large study. That may be your decision if we get that far !!
As far as prices go, we really haven't looked too much at the market yet so it would be difficult to say what it will be. However, we are keen to ensure that we get someone in, so the price will definately be well below the normal rate.
Anyway, have a good look around some other areas and rental sites and let me know what you think. We have plenty of time as we are not expecting completion until early 2009 (although current signs are that it may be slightly earlier)
