Anyone in the UK with kids ?

We are currently being pushed by our Spanish Lawyers to complete on our 2 bed apartment in Cota Real - Khios Block but have asked for a more specific time frame to set up the mortgage etc

however there seems to be several people out there fighting against actually taking the apartment, ...... as we don`t want to be the only people in the block !!!

is there anyone currently moving towards completition ?

if so what time frame are you being asked to work to by your Lawyer - Ros Y Falcon ?

We are going over to Spain on Monday the 27 November  for 5 days.

We are going to our solicitor who is taking us to the notary so we can give them power of attorney and we can get our NIE number.

At the moment we are trying to arrange a mortgage but this will take another few weeks before we get it. Once we have it our solicitor will complete for us.

We are coming to look at furniture packages and speak to company's regarding renting the property and hopefully we will look round our property.

Our property is in Khios and it is the ground floor.

We did think about fighting the developer due to being 11 months late with the licence but it sounds like a minifield.

We are also going ahead with completion on our ground floor apartment in Samos, as we tend to agree with Derek that trying to re-claim the money from the developer is a minefield.  We are currently trying to sort out a mortgage but have been given no firm date by our lawyer to complete by.

We were over at the end of October and must say was suprised the licence had been granted, don't think we will be generating much rental income for the first year or so.

We have been offered an apartment on Coto Real or Rio Real  developments and an exceptionally cheaper price than you would expect for Marbella. Also agents are only asking for 6,000 euros deposit. Can anyone enlighten us please as to what has been going on with these developments and what the current situation is. We are looking to buy two apartments to live in one and rent the other. What advice can anyone give please.
