Power of Attorney

Does anyone have a recommendation and conact details for Notary who can do power of attorney signature and seal , as well giving us some  indication of cost.

 We are coming out next week and rather than use one in Manchester, thought  we would do it  'locally 'and lodge it with our new solicitor. Saves taking even more time off work to travel into Manchester.

 We are staying in the mojacar area, but anywhere in and around San Juan would be equally suitable.

If you are giving power of attorney to your Spanish solicitor he will do everything for you. Just give him a call and I'm sure he will have everything ready for you when you arrive. You will then both go together to the Notary for signing.

Power of Attorney should cost no more than 50e but if you use a solicitor to take you to the notary they will charge you for their time as well so make sure you ask in advance for their costs. There are various powers that can be granted I would strongly suggest you do not allow the solicitor have access to your bank account unless you know them very well and when you have finished with your solicitors service if you want to cancel the power you have to again pay the notary fees!
