Hi All,
I know there have been previous threads regarding this subject but now we are all completing I am sure it is becoming important to people.
We have gone with Alan Milton of Azure Property for our keyholding and from our experience so far I cannot praise Alan and his wife Lynn highly enough.
In particular we have had real issues with our furniture company and Alan has helped us out where ever he can.
We went with Alan because of his experience living and working out in Spain, he lives on La Torre and has also bought in the Gardens at Condado so he is well aware of the issues we have all suffered.
Having gone through all the pain of buying and then furnishing our apartment it is good to know it is being looked after so well in our absence.

I have also gone with Alan from Azure - he has been absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process. He keeps me regularly updated and has helped with air con, lights, kitchen goods etc.
He has made me feel so much happier about everything.
I would highly recommend him.

Dont forget Carol (angelbabe) - she lives on site and has a good little team around her. Caroi's been very professional with us and has really been willing to meet our requirements, and its good to know there's someone on site keeping an eye on the apartment.

No disrespect to Carol but with the number of apartments etc on site there is no way she can manage all of them! So good luck to the others who are offering the same services who also are also living on site.

I agree. Carol seems very nice and also professional,although every key holding service must be careful not to take on too many resulting in a poor quality service.
I have PM'd Kevin and Cath who are offering a key holding service (and much more). I will be using them for my 2 bed apartment as their prices seenvery reasonable.

I agree that key holders should not take on more clients than they can manage - I assume you are not suggesting that Carol has done so although your posting is slightly ambiguous in that sense.
Having chatted to Carol many times about her developing business, I can assure you that she has not taken on more clients than she can manage. She is very professional and well organised with an extremely good "business head" and has already made provision for additional assistance on site at busy times.
Carol does still have capacity to take on more key holding clients and continues to offer a fantastic, reliable service. Unfortunately others on the resort (not posted on this thread, I hasten to add) offering a similar service are telling people at Condado that Carol is now fully booked - that is not true. As others have said, there will be enough properties at Condado for several key holding/management service providers to be kept busy but surely they should be obtaining clients by way of a professional business approach (including recommendations) - not by devious underhand means.
I believe that there is scope for these providers to work together and help each other - after all, they will all presumably want to visit the UK at certain times throughout the year (OK then, may be not!). Surely it would be of benefit to them if they could call on a fellow provider at Condado to assist in their absence. That must solve potential problems for them, and also provide the rest of us with the continuing level of service we need.
Of course, we all wish everyone that has moved to Condado to start a new life, the very best of luck and every success in their new business ventures. But let's not promote another's services by attempting to put down the services provided by someone else.

As I said when this topic was posted some weeks ago, I would advise those of you that rent out and use keyholders to get feedback from your guests. I'm astonished that people rarely ask their renters opinion as how else willl they know if they are getting value for money. Also, I would try to avoid paying for a year's key holding upfront at least until you know what level of service you are getting for your money.

The keyholding fee we pay includes a weekly check on our apartment.
If it wasn't for our keyholder, we would have arrived at our apartment in January to find a major problem with damp but fortunately this was picked up in the early stages so was repaired quickly.
When we chose our keyholder we got the prices off 3 companies who were based on site. We made our decision on who was offering the deal which suited us best at the time. After staying on La Torre a few times, and having experience of various keyholders onsite and offsite, we knew that we would prefer the keyholder who was based onsite. That was our personal opinion but some may disagree.
I agree that it is a big site and there is enough work to go around but why are we hearing so much negativity between keyholders at the moment on the forum? Surely it's up to the individual to choose the property manager which suits their needs best.

i know of a company that does not charge you twice for key holding, or even charge you at all, providing you use there sevices.
