Hi all
Does anyone know if the residents parking areas in the Jardines has any security in place i.e. gates. As when we were over there last they seemed to be open so anyone could drive in and out.

Hi John & Val,
When we were over in July I asked the security guard about this. He said that the main entrance would be open ASAP , within a few weeks, which would then give access to the residential area via the security barrier. Anyone else would have to park outside the fenced area and walk in through security. I suspect while so many people are working there and delivering this won't be the case for sometime though. Perhaps Carol can update us when she is on-line.

Hi All,
Does anyone know if we have an allocated parking space - in the original plans each apartment had a space with their number on it but I haven't noticed this on any of the photographs??

Hi there,
At the minute the guards just smile at you and wave as you go through the gates but if you look suspicious, like we obviously do, they stop you and ask you the apartment you are going to. As for the parking I think you do have an allocated spot but a the garens are rarely anything like full you can just choose the naerest space to your place.

We have wondered about this point- as we thought the parking bays would be numbered. Dont know why- might have been told that at sometime. Do people who are renting apartments have access to the parking bays directly behind the Jardin's or do they park in the main car parks around the perimeter?

Hi Jan
I actually have originally plans that show numbered parking slots for each apartment, but when I was our there in February PW told me you can park anywhere inside. It was the same time they told me there will be no bbq area and we can bbq on the roof

When we completed on our apartment the solicitor went through the deeds and what we owned. He said that we owned an apartment of 50.75m2, terrace of 55m2 and a parking space of a particular size about 11m2.
We have a copy of the plans which originally told you which parking space belonged to which apartment.
If the parking space is mentioned on the deeds, I would presume that we have bought a particular space. After all that square meterage will be taken into account when you are paying your community fees.

This is what we thought because it makes it easier to tell if someone has brought two cars in then- but there were no numbers on the bays when we were there a couple of weeks ago. Thats why I wondered if renters can park close to the apartment or out on the main car parks- which appear to have millions of spaces. Polaris are expecting loads of visitors by the look of things,

Hi All,
My solicitor has confirmed that the plot details are normally in the title deeds so in theory you know which plot you own, but confusion will obviously be caused if there are no numbers on these plots( especially if renters can use them). Has anybody asked Polaris if they intend to do this - if not it may be worth everybody contacting Polaris to request this ? any thoughts?

According to PW's own figures for the other resorts they work on a 30% occupancy at any one time.
On that basis I really can't see anyone having problems parking.

Won't really bother us in with the position of our apartment in Jardin 5, however may cause a few problems for those in Jardin 7 who are alongside the supermarket, sports area and cafe/bar area.
Everytime we've been to site we've had no problems with parking.

Could be a problem to us. As a ground floor resident we have an allocated space under cover, but according to plans it is not outside our back door - it is 2 bays away!
If I park there it could upset someone else although it won't be outside their front door.
If someone was in my space we wouldn't be happy. It is one of the perks of paying more for ground or top floor. Renters probably won't bother where they park and pick the undercover bays.
The undercover parking is not so much to keep out of the rain - we won't get any! - but it will be cooler out of the sun which will be at the other side of the apartment from morning till night.
A car parked for hours in the sun could give you 3rd degree burns!

Hi Barry
You are not butting in and all forums are for anyone to contribute relevant information to, I had thought you were referring to penthouses but my question still remains.
Where is the undercover parking and which apartments have this allocated also which plan shows parking allocation???
