Hi all

As you will have gathered from the title that sadly we are back home because we had a brilliant week.We ate in quite a few different places cocos which we enjoyed silvinos which ken loved but i didn.t que pasa which has only just opened on the street down to the theatre good for a meal at any time of day very reasonable prices and den and diane who.s bar it is are very pleasant and welcoming. 

The only problem we did have was that all the electric went off, firstly on the thursday night all the electric in the building went even the emergency lights but ours was still on in apartment but on the fri morning we had no electric either.Ken went to investigate and found the pump from the pool was leaking into the basement and had caused quite a flood and this had tripped all the lights.He rang manolo who sent fecundo he got the lights back on and then phoned for the pool man who arrived within ten minutes so thankfully it all got sorted very quickly.

There was a car in the basement but fortunately the water hadn.t reached it so it was fine. All in all it was a superb week lovely weather and very relaxing there was only us there but on the saturday a couple of spanish men came doing some jobs on an apartment on top floor and on the monday another couple of spanish men came to apartment on ground floor at the back don,t know what they were doing but they didn.t stay long.Well i,ve probably bored you all enough for now so i will sign off.

Hi Carol, Ken and all

Just back myself but there was no one else in the building at all.  Thought it was worth mentioning re the electricity that there is a switch on the main box which is outside of the apartments to the right of the front door and outside the apartment with its own entrance.  The electricity has flicked off from this point previously and can be reset.  I am not sure if that was what happened when you were there but it is worth having a look in case that is all it is. 

I could see in the garage that there had been water in there but thought it was down to rain.  The car belongs to 3M.

For those of you spending Christmas there (Mandy), have a great time and I will hopefully catch some of you in Spain in the new year.

Thanks for your reply but we were aware of the switches but as soon as ken put them on they tripped off immediately which indicated a fault which was later discovered to be the pool pump.Another little problem and i believe you have mentioned about them before are the kids. we experienced them on the saturday night drinking in the field opposite and being quite noisy but it really didn.t bother us that much because we couldn.t hear them when we went to bed i suppose because its so dark round there its an ideal spot for them and the couples in cars.

Unfortunately we are not out again till march and we can,t wait we know tom will be there and are looking forward to seeing him again but hopefully we may get to meet a few others and all of you at some point.

Hi Everyone 

So glad you had such a great time Carol and Ken and interesting to read about all the little teething problems.  I haven't been online much recently because my computer died and I was without one for a couple of weeks, then got a laptop which is taking a bit of getting used to.  Just as well I can come on from my work computer now and again. Have you all got your post boxes sorted out?  It occurred to me that I should have perhaps put my name on one when I was there, as I suspect the top row may well be out of my reach, so I'll be standing on a box to retrieve any post!

Very much looking forward to coming out in February and getting my apartment furnished; was so impressed with yours Wayne when we saw it last month, you've got it absolutely lovely; say 'hi' to Neil for me..  Will look forward to visiting others over the next few months and soon I hope having people visit mine for the odd cup of tea or glass of something stronger!

This rainy dreary weather certainly makes Almoradi and the sunshine terribly tempting.  It feels like ages since I was there, but it's not long till February, so I'll be patient.  Does anyone actually know what the room which leads to the pool is for?  Carole said it might be somewhere to store sunbeds etc, which seems like a reasonable explanation to me, but when we were there last month, James from Palmera was convinced it was a sort of communal lounge and meeting area.  Any further thoughts anyone?

Merry christmas to you and to everyone hope you all have a good one and i know where i wish i was spending mine.Re the post boxes we have actually got our keys but didn,t put our names on the box we.ll have to do that next time.Can.t wait to be sharing that drink with you fliss and indeed with everyone at some point so adios for now will post soon.

Hi both

Started to write this message and some stupid advert popped up on my screen and I lost the message, so you may get part of a message, then this one.  Anyway, good news, your gate is hung and looks very good.  I opened the patio doors for a bit to let some air in but they forgot to turn the electric off again when they left, but I´m sure it´ll be fine.  If you really want it off, I´ll ask Walter to do it as I´m not sure which switch it is. I´ve got one key ready to send to you, will do that tomorrow if post office isn´t too busy, and the other two I´ve put on your keyring with the door key.  We had loads of rain here today, so it felt a little bit fresher, but is still hot.
