Disney in Costa Calida

Good  Evening

When My husband & I first visited Polaris we were taken to the office etc by a Rep from a company in Costa Blanca

He told us that there had been a rumour that a  Disney world type centre was planned for either the Costa  Calida area or in Portugal near to the spanish border.

Friends of ours have a villa in Portugal & they too had heard that Disney were looking at 2 sites , 1 in Portugal & 1 in Spain but no particular area`s had been mentioned. Since then we have not  heard any thing & neither of our friends

. Did anyone else hear anything or were we getting excited about nothing

At one time it was near Malaga !!!........then it seems to keep moving around 'dare I say it' depending upon where the agents want to sell property 

In the current recession not a chance anyway but do not worry about the future of Costa Calida. Yes, just now everything does not look good but when the recovery does come it is expected  that it will continue to be one of the locations in popular demand

The new airport at Corvera and AVR is important for long term growth and I suspect that the Resort Style Developments which offer facilities for everyone will increasingly become more popular

We heard this aswell but not from our agent.  We heard that Disneyland Paris could be relocated to Spain due to the climate, Costa Calida was the favourite choice but who knows, these things can change daily.  I would think that if it was happening they would wait until Corvera Airport is built, certainly the road systems are in place so again who knows. I certainly wouldn't have bought property based on a rumour and I do hope that noone else has done so as they could be very dissappointed.

We heard that rumour aswell. We have also heard that Turkey is to build a new Disneyland. It has been in the papers over there a couple of months ago. If its in the newspapers then its got to be right!!   lol.

Hope that  does not mean that spain is now out of the running .

My mind was racing thinking of the rental we all could get,even though it would take a few years to  the opening.

We were particulaly  excited when the rep said  that the plans would be for the site to be in the Murcia region

Still we can always keep our fingers crossed.

Maybe we aught to write a begging letter to Jack Nicholas to see if he could put in a good word.

Disney land are relocating to Murcia about 35 miles from condado.Heard that from the horses mouth....

I was begining to get realy excited.

Unfortunatly my sorce( the Oceans Estates rep) has left & Oceans Estates has been bought up by another company

 So I am now as bewildered by every thing as I was last January

Still I will keep every thing that is crossable crossed.

I bought my place for the traditional Spanish culture,  i dont want to see a McDonalds and Burger King built on every street corner.

If Disneyland does come to Murcia does anyone want to buy a 3 bedroom appartment?

You do have the Pier though!!  Had many great nights out in Wigan, it was THE place to be many years ago!!!!!!!!!
