Local taxis

Has anyone used any local taxi services?.My son's going over to the apartment in the new year and whilst he will have a car he's got friends joining him and was wondering about getting back and forth to Campasol a couple of times so they can all have a meal and a few drinks. As he'd always be the designated driver otherwise, he's keen to know if there are any taxi services in the area.

Hi Jan & Mike, when wwe were over a few weeks ago we ask when we were on composol turns out there is a couple resident on campo called Fred and Cath who run an unnoficial taxi service number is phone968 956 209 mob637 400 034.

From my own experience bus services between Alicante Airport, Murcia cities and larger villages are generally very reliable. For the final stretch between Alhama and Murcia and Condado, I picked up a taxi at the stand 50 meters or so from the bus stop in the City Centre there.

My old notes indicate two local numbers: 677503256 (Alhama de Murcia) and 608041901 (Totana). You can also ask Polaris staff at the sales or completions office to look up local taxi numbers. Best to strike a deal with one driver for various trips, since they need to come to Condado to pick their clients up and may be unwilling to come out of direction otherwise.

      Why don't you ask Dringman on garden 12 if he would be willing to run people around, also when we were over there Mark Stephenson on garden 10 did airport pickups, send them a PM. I'm sure a few residents would do it.

Just a quick word of warning....be very careful with unlicienced taxi airport runs as the police are really cracking down on this now, even going so far as checking advertisements.  The fines are pretty steep.

Thanks for all the advice we will look into everything- especially as he has people over for two days then others over for three days, busy boy!  But he would want to be above board with hiring anyone. I imagine in the future this will be easier to solve as its likely to be a business opportunity unitl PW do airport shuttle servcies etc from the new airport
