Yes it's true. This is December in Almoradi & Guardamar. Not sure who the rabble are on the beach but give them a wide berth if you ever come across them! We could not believe the weather last weekend. Sat at the square having a coffee or two on Monday & it was 24c. Almoradi is now officially declared an all year round 'resort'. Hope we have the same luck in Feb. I think we go on the 23rd. Lifts should be up & running by then, if not before. Cant wait to go back. Ian &Maxine.

Hi lan and Maxine thanks for the info and photos, its good to know the weather can be so good in Dec. l looked at them when l came in from work cold and wet again and it cheered me up(.l was envious really) lts good knowing l (we) have all done the right thing here,(inspite of palmera and the delays) with a great beach 10-15 mins away and a lovely town to to stroll in and have the odd drink or so,plus all the other places with in easy reach,and not for getting our own complex and pool when the sun is back on it. l  will be going out in March,so keep up the good work with the info, let us know what it is like in Feb. Kind Regards Pat.

Just looked at your photos, you all look so relaxed and happy, that's what a bit of sunshine does for you!We were out weekend of 25th November and like you couldn't beleive how warm it was during the day and at night just needed a light jacket or cardigan.

We're going out for 4 days over Xmas and I think we'll need the heaters on at night(we bought those ones from Intermarche as well).

Thanks for the photos. We have to suffer the cold and wait until Feb half term before we are back again but we've booked Feb, May half term, Easter and four weeks in August so roll on 2007.

Buses (hope this is still up to date):-

There is no bus station in Almoradi, the pick up/drop off points are on either side of the main road coming from the Torrevieja direction – close to the Grand Muralla Chinese restaurant. There is a bus shelter on the right hand side – as you face the town centre but none on the left – although there are usually people waiting here.
To go to Guardamar wait on the left side.

Bus operator: Agostense – look out for a blue coach.
Fare: About 2 Euros??

Terminates: Coach station, Guardamar – in town centre

Almoradi – Guardamar (Mon – Fri)

Almoradi – Guardamar (Sat)

Guardamar – Almoradi (Mon – Fri)

They were of La Finca Golf Club at Algorfa (about 5-10 mins drive away), unfortunately, it didn't look like there was much else there though.

Thanks for the bus details Maxine - I will give it to my sister. Unfortunately, she doesn't drive, but I am sure she will get by. If anybody else is out there over Christmas look out for her. Her and her partner will be the ones looking very british standing in the street, not knowing where they are going!! Their names are Barbara and Alan!
