What a find this website is! I discovered it purely by chance a couple of days ago and seem to have done nothing else since other than catch up on previous threads and photos. Think I might suffer withdrawal symptoms when I have to go back to work on Monday! Really quite exciting as I still haven't been over to see my place since the solicitor completed on my behalf back in October but reading your comments and advice has given me the impetus to get going! So much useful advice has really made me a lot more comfortable and am really looking forward to getting my place furnished and up and running so I can get over there and meet lots of you. Does anyone know where I might find a blown up plan of the jardines apartments with plot numbers?

Cheers Ant,
Loads of other useful stuff on there as well. Also found out that one of the pools has been removed from Jardine 5 - would have been nice to have been told!

Hi Mark
We are also in Jardin 5 and was sorry they have removed one of our pools, also the town centre which should have been at the end of our Jardin has now been relocated to the end of the Jardines by Jardin13
We were over in November to start furnishing and Jardine 5 is lovely the removal of the pool has given the Jardin a feeling of space it looks great.

Hi Mark
Welcome to the forum
As we are also on Jardin 5 we have sent you a private message but you may need to ask Justin to let you access it.
EOS has been a big help to all of us - there is loads of useful information on it. As we completed after most of the other jardines, we knew exactly what to expect when the time came.

Hi All,
I agree that the larger gardens should have had 2 pools or at least a very large one. I'm in one of the smaller gardens and I think it could have been a bit bigger. But like with all these ventures the end result is not always what is expected. However there are plenty of them and I think it will encourage people to go to other gardins depending on how busy the pools are and hopefully create an enviroment that everyone will meet up despite what garden they are in.

Hi Sharon
Without wishing to be a killjoy I would just like to say that I for one would not be to happy for people from other jardines to use the pool in our jardine, as each jardine will have its own community fees agreed and run by the residents of that jardine, for which the upkeep of the pool and surrounding area will be included. That is why each jardine is allocated a pool within there area,
I am sure there will be plenty of other ways to meet people, particularly when the foro is completed.

Hi Mark
We are on also on Jardine 5, and when we went over to furnish in Oct/Nov it was looking great. Remains to be seen what the impact of one pool will be. When we was there, we had the whole place to ourself. What it will be like at Easter or the Summer is the real test.
The pool itself is 30m long (stepped it out) so by no means small. With only one pool, there is also alot more grass area and an extra playground space. We have 3 kids, so this is great for us at it allows more room for them to run round in
A shame about the shopping area moving, but the supermarket, cafe and sports area is right beind us. All in all, not that disappointed with the changes as it is still fantastic if not "off the planet" that it could have been. Rumour that some shops will still be built anyway on the end of the sports zone, albeit at some point in the future
Enjoy Jardine 5 mate!

If we go the same way as La Torre then the cost of maintaining the swimming pools is evenly distributed between the property owners. Therefore people in jardin 5, 7 and 13 will be paying additional fees to maintain the pools in the smaller jardines.
Personally I would love to be paying cheaper fees for having an apartment in Jardin 5 with only 1 pool but from reading the way the fees are distributed I think that they will be the same for all apartments in the Jardines - the 3 bedroom apartments may have a little more to pay as they have a garden to maintain.

All,
If you look in the community information that you got at completion it states that all swimming pools are communal and everyone regardless of which Jardine they are in has full access.

When we were out over Christmas we were speaking to one of the `General's' employees who gave us our post box keys
He said that the pools on the Jardins are going to be restricted for use between certain hours every day, and I'm sure he said it was between Siesta hours?
Regarding the pools.....
I have no objection to other people using the pool on my Jardin (4) at all, but what I am sceptical about is that if others are using the pool then surely there will be less chance of people on my jardins being able to use it themselves?
I also saw that in Mar Menor Golf Resort there was a communal swimming pool (by the Olive Tree Restaurant) and it had a sign that said no more than 10 people allowed in the pool at any one time
Maybe this will be introduced to the Jardins as well for safety reasons!

Personally I would not worry about who is using which pool, it is YOUR resort and you can use all of the facilities on YOUR resort. The biggest problem I fear you will have is getting people to pay their community fees at all

Hi
I personally don't think anyone need worry about any of the Jardines pools being 'maxed out'. Most people will want to use the pool nearest to their apartment and if La Torre is anything to go by ,during my two previous stays there was never any more than 3 or 4 people in or around the pool at any one time. Davey can probably confirm this but I was told by a La Torre resident that there was only ever 30% occupancy max' at any one time right throughout the year. I was never aware of any restrictions to bathing times during the hours of daylight.
Regards,

I think its only for the daily cleaning and water testing that they close the pool. We have stayed on other spanish resorts that closed the pool between 2pm and 3pm but at La Torre we noticed the poolman doing this work earlier- more like 8am. The La Torre pools were very busy through the day and into the late evenings when we were there in August and people took their own loungers down as the few supplied were always in use. Some people had chained their own flat against the railings and we did observe a mini row when a couple were trying to wrestle a set of loungers right way up whilst still chained to the railings and the owners arrived- but it was soon resolved they'd just thought they needed a key and didnt know where to access it. There didnt seem to be any number restrictions at La Torre but I bet it wont be a problem on Condado as there are so many pools to choose from and wont there eventually be one at the club house too?

I think our Jardins are going to be different to La Torre because we have got large open solariums where we can sunbathe quite happily.
In La Torre the terraces of many of the apartments are covered in so people have got to go down to the pool to sunbathe. We stayed in a penthouse apartment there with a large solarium and only ventured down to the pool a couple of times when we wanted to go for a swim. It would've been more of a hassle to get the sunbeds down there hence the reason there were many sunbeds chained to the railings.

Thats a good point about La Torre, I'd forgotten about many of their terraces being under cover. I think many people were down by the pools all that time because their children were down there. We plan to get a couple of those folding beds for my brother and a cousin to use because they have younger children.
The pools look good at the moment and we saw maintenance people cleaning around them and actually wiping the railings down. Plus they are out and about brushing up and hosing down pathways.
I see earlier on the thread posts about the community charge- for some reason we thought the sports facilities where going to be free to owners but this week heard they are soon to start charging for use of the courts etc. I cant remember why we thought this area would be free- maybe we surmised
