Hi Everyone
Happy New Year to you all.
Well it's the time of the year that Colin & Tricia have been waiting for and counting down the days to, the AGM.
As I wont be at the event I would like to take this opportunity to thank Colin & Tricia for the outstanding work that they have put in over the last year, it could not have been easy dealing with certain people, you and I both know who he is, well done for keeping your cool, it must be that scottish upbringing, thank you again for putting up with most of us knocking on your door for this and that with never a complaint from you.
You can now hand over the reins to the new president, put your feet up and I'm sure you will have a smile on your face as you taste that first dram as the the former.
Enjoy your retirement as it was intended.
Best Regards
Pete & Sue Dyer

Hi You People
It is one of the first parts of the AGM agenda to pass that all defaulters have court proceedings started against them
Dog littering and guttering are for the new president and committee to address
Interest -----where is the guttering in the front of the building (Pedro Cano) the reason I am asking is there was a very few people erected some before we were a community and therefore were not governed by the rules, guidance would have to be sought as to getting them to take it down
Hope this is good enough
Colin

hi colin
my understanding is that when you were buying your house you were given details within your contract. I refer to page 17 of the contract - horizontal property scheme of the housing development - section C (4) which states
"owners shall ask for and obtain written consent to - modify the colour of the facades as well as to install or make alterations to grilles or fences , make alterations to cavities, windows, doors oe enclousures................................, or to alter elements which may modify the architectural aspect of the houses".
This therefore means that people should not have made alterations to the facade (i.e. - guttering) without permission even when the community had not been formally established.
I notice that one house in Jose Sanchez Lozano has erected guttering which is the same colour as the walls. If guttering is to be allowed then it should follow this example and blend in.

I will go with what you have stated and the rules are you ask for permission for these alterations and there is also meetings that should take place and a 25% vote needed
It does stop everyone doing anything they want and spoiling the look of the street
Lets hang them

Hi All
What is the point of having a President / committee if people can do what they want? I agree with Vincent these people who have put guttering up without permission should be made to take them down they are an eye sore for starters. Regardless of when they were put up, i.e. before the committee was set up they shouldn’t have been put up, these people knew exactly what they were doing, at the end of the day its Spain not sunny England, do people need guttering? I don’t think so!!!
Can I build a garage in my front garden??? I don’t think so but why not everyone else does what they want so why should I get permission? I’m sure if I did start to erect one, everyone would be on my back with minuets, and rightly so.
As for the AGM, I really hope Colin takes this on for another year at least; he has done a fantastic job in a very stressful situation, what with those people giving him a hard time: they should show some respect and support Colin and the committee, it’s easy to criticise that’s the coward’s way.
Go on Colin give it another year, it will be a lot easier next year all the fun is getting things started, you’ve done the hard bit getting it of the ground. Why not make Diamond your vice president???? Your laughing aren’t you? Seriously I hope you take it on next year, you definitely have my vote!!!!

ALL
You have without stating got what the community thing is all about, not a President or committee spouting rules but a knowledge of these rules and a respect for them
We had a similar situation with gate extensions, I told people they could not just put extensions on although some already had but I explained the way forward i.e. 25% vote to organise an extra ordinary meeting this was held and a vote was passed to allow extensions with certain stipulations most of the gates were complete within a week so it was obvious they were already made and ready to go I wonder what would have happened if the vote had went the other way > NO I do not wonder I know what would have happened
What some people do not seem to grab is that in one form it maybe a hinderence but if someone is going to build a 20 foot wall and stop the sun on your patio it is a good thing that there is some form of control, and keep in mind you cannot just do alterations in good old UK
The AGM this year should be a different deal, where as last year know one would take the job I think we could have a few people putting their hand up this time, and yes we are now ready to move forward and a committee would be looking at bettering the community not chasing people to pay money, trying to get safety equipment in place etc.
I came here to enjoy retiral and although I will admit that with all the support, meeting many many people, seeing things moving forward, etc. in many aspects believe it or not I have enjoyed being part of it all, but there are people who will move us on and I will be happy to hand over
To complete this write up Diamond and I had an excellent conversation one day and shook hands, see another thing moves on

on the day the american president took centre stage it is good that our president can look forward to his well earned retirement. hopefully we will allow him to keep the honary title of el primero presidente !!
Well done for all your hard work colin. I look forward to a positive AGM where we move forward to the next year as a complete community. It is important to keep all owners involved in any decision making process. It is unfortunate that only a few owners are aware of this site.
