I know its a long shot but is there anyone who has completed on el rincon who is prepared to rent it out to us over the new year week. We have a chance to complete ourselves before the new year but will obviously need somewhere to stay while the furniture company can deliver, and we've had time to put the beds together etc.

If you have no joy try La Calma, we're staying there over Easter and if I remember when I did a Google search there were few apartments that came up.

Warning to anytone buying at El Rincon - having failed to pass contracts on apartment 3 weeks ago as not finished to specification, our lawyer and bank manager sat at the notary yesterday for 3 hours and the signing did not happen! No explanation from the notary and when the builders were confronted they refused to comment! The lawyer has told us that we are the third person buying from these developers where they have had troubles with signing at the notary. The lawyer is trying to arrange signing with a different notary next week. This is really scarey especially when you do not live there and rely on Power of Attorney (who we have no problems with a used with last property)

We bought directly from Bennecke. They have been wonderful up to now - hopefully its just a blip and all will go through next week - but it is worrying. Our lawyer said they sat there at the notary and asked what was happening and no one would say a word so they and our bank manager had to leave as the office was closing. Third time lucky I hope.
We bought our villa four years ago through an agent and that went very well and we are in fact good friend with the agent now - this we did on our own - fingers crossed everyone!

Hi Evostick,
I am sure it will all be fine. We live near your new apartment and have heard nothing but praise for Bennecke (have I spelt that right?!) These silly little hiccups happen in Spain, it all sounds sinister, but it all turns out ok. You are safe i am sure, as one of the last posts said, your builder is one of the biggest in Spain. I will be thinking of you though, I know it is a hair raising time!

Hi Evostick.
I think you have nothing to be worry about. I took over my partment at Senorio de Punta Prima, the same builder as Alameda Del Mar, in February 2006.Bennecke Aftersales was with me to the Notary and everything went very smooth. I had no lawyer. Gomendio Aftersales, the builder, organized the time and dates for the Notary. Up till now 260 people have taken over their apartments this year at La Entrada, Senorio De Punta Prima.Everything have went well. We now have a community and everybody is happy. Gomendio will build 4-5000 apartments the next 10 years. 1500 at Punta Prima and 2-3000 at Alameda Del Mar. They will also build hotels, villas and bungalows in this area. As I said you have nothing to be worry about. Enjoy your apartment next time you come to Costa Blanca. I am sure that the quality of the apartment is of a high standard too. This is a very serious builder. I have never heard by anyone that they have had problems of taken over their property.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.
