New to San Cayetano

Hi everyone

Hope you are all well and this economic down turn has not affected your happiness.

We have bought an off-plan quad in phase 2 and we have been told that the completion is in July 09. We have bought ours through MASA and apart from paying a deposite, we haven't done anything else. Just wondering if you guys have any information for us in order to get ready for a new life in SC.

I mean apart from getting NIE number what else we should do. Do we have to wait for MASA to do the rest?

I appreciate any info or advise that you may have for us.

Hi,and welcome to the site.There is a lot of information on life around and about  San Cayetano in these forums,its well worth a read.

You cant really do much at the moment,wait for Taray to complete the building and then Masa should take over from there.If you are coming over before compleation,you could advise Masa of this and get your NIE,s sorted while over,will take a little of the stress out of the process of compleation.

In the meantime,plan your move and look forward to your new life,......oh and dont worry,we found everything went smoothly.

Hi again,yes we live here full time and have been here 8 months today.Were still enjoying life here.

The LFO will be granted when the building work is all finished automatically through the builder,until then you will be on builders supply of electricity and water,we are still waiting the LFO or habitation licence.As i understand some mortgage lenders will only allow compleation with the LFO in place but if you are buying outright it wont affect you.

No ,we bought through Parador properties,whom i believe have now ended trading,were not sure.But as you say Masa should look after you.

We are going to get a little mortgage as this is going to be our holiday home for few years until we are ready to move. Could you please let me know what LFO stands for. Sorry if I am asking you lots of questions.
