Just received a couple of bills on my statement, one for me and one for Stella, both very similar and would like someone to decipher them please.

Title:

ASEGURADORA VALENCIANA NIF

Bill 1:                      290 Euros, RIESGO FINAN NO RESI

                                PLZA LEGION ESPA OLA 8 46010-VALENCIA

                                POLIZA O7000009

                                TELEF CONSULTAS 902-305307

                                CERTIFICADO ........................LOTS OF NUMBERS

                                FALLECIMIENTO ......................NUMBERS

                                PERIODO 11-01-2009 A 11-01-2010

I think it is some kind of council tax, am I correct?

PS Today Euro/£ 1.1251, going up a bit, will need to keep going if the bills keep coming in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

looks like its local property tax which we do have to pay once a year and its a percentage of the value of the property - i think it does get billed around end of jan -feb so we will all be getting billed..
