I was just wondering whether or not the La Torre community communicate on other forums as the number of posts on EOS appears to be infrequent for such a large resort.

The La Torre residents have a lot of experience and insight which could be very valuable to others throughout Spain who are at the starting posts in terms of new communities and resorts.

I've stated before that  I have had an enjoyable stay on two occassions at this most attractive resort.

It would be great to hear of your experiences not only within the resort  but also on places to visit and to eat etc, outside the resort and in the gereral Murcia region.

Hi Raff,

The general area around the Polaris World resorts has a whole host of bars, restaurants and places of interest for all members of the family to enjoy.

The plaza area in Los Alcazares has something for everyone and the Spanish festivals (of which there are very many) are occasions not to be missed.

The main cities of the province, Murcia and Cartagena are steeped in cultural history, both very obviously different, but both offering a fantastic array of fun.

The murican tourist board is a great place to start and the address is something like w w w carm es where you will find English pages.

if you want any further info, please feel free to ask ;)

Hola Baxter,

last time I was out I visited both Murcia and Cartagena and it must be said that I would highly reccommend both cities. I sat in the square in Murcia beside the catherdal having a coffee and watching the world go by and in cartagena sampled the Tapas bars and the walks, superb.

Hopefully out again in July and intend to see more of the local area.

Cheers.

Hi Raff

I have to agree with Baxter that Los Alcazares has got something for everyone, my favourite bar is the Big Cafe in the centre of the plaza the best coffe in town bar none.

My favourite restaurant at the moment is Rosalinds a bit pricey but beautiful surroundings.

I could go on all day about this place . I love it

If you are in town on the 12th October Los Alcazares has a fiesta on the beach called Caldero Day absolutely amazing.

I dip in and out of La Torre's forum as a matter of curiousity as I would expect to find it in a much more developed and lively state than some of the less developed Polaris resort forums.I have resisted saying this for many months - but where is everybody? I have visited La Torre on a number of occasions, including when we were buying, and always found it dead with many properties up for re sale.  This is dissappointing for such a wonderful development.

Come on residents, lets have a bit more interest and effort as you can add so much value to the wider Polaris estate I am sure that the rst of us on other resorts can learn from. Raff's initial comment is intersting in this thread. I wonder if you all communicate elswhere, if you do please let the rest of into the location so we can join in.

If you want to look elswhere at a forum full of life and community spirit - try Condado De Alhama.

Hi i am buying on la torre it is true the place is very quiete, but and the end of the day like most of these golf resorts they are second homes and people are just using the properties every now and again,  ive got friends on la torre and they are just not spending as much time on the resort as they have done in previous years. With the euro being so low everthing is costing so much more.
