To whom it may concern. The staff in the clubhouse have advised me that the Beach Club will open in Mid May about the time that childrten make their First Communion.

Has anyone got the offecial opening of the club house this year as i am out at the begining of May and was hoping it would be open!!

Surley there is no reason that it should only be open for the summer it is a permanent fixture and weather great in May!! or are we to only have the club for 3mths of the year every year!!

Hi all

Linda my wife is over on Roda tomorrow and will go to customer services and ask for the oficial opening date for the beach club this year and I will post it for you.   I have had a few emails from some of you asking if the onsite shop has freezers installed yet well the answer to that is yes. They have now installed one and that is for ice creams only at the moment, but lots more to come I'm sure

Mike

Hi Lynda

I was out last week and asked customer service with a not very satifactory answer. Possibly June maybe July have had some work done and just finnishing off. In the sales office i was told June!! Who Knows when it will be open.

Sorry i cant be of more help.

I did'nt realise the beach club was only going to be open a few weeks of the year!!

What an absolute joke, the beach club should  be open from the beginning of May to end of September....MINIMUM !!!   I'll be out on the second week of June and will be extremely annoyed if it isn't open, I was going to go this month but thought better wait a few weeks extra to make sure it was open.

I enquired last week when I was in the Clubhouse and was told that the Beach Club will be open in the last week of May. The company which is running the Casa Club will be running the Beach Club so they are the people who should know.  Hopefully that date is correct.

I was told by Andrea in Customer Services that they do not have a definite date yet, but that it is "foreseen" that it will be opening  the beginning of June.

i know this a negative post ,but for people who like ourselves who rent out our apartment & are activley promoting the beach club ,it is staggering that we are in mid may ,the start of the summer season & nobody from Calidona etc can put a definate date when the beach club will open, you would have thought by now they would have got their act together ! !

So now i have to explain to my rental guests ,that yes we have a beach club ,but no one knows when it is opening .GREAT, are other 5* resorts run like ours !! probably not

I agree completely! The opening/closing dates should be published well in advance so that we can plan our trips and advertise the Beach Club.  Roda are not committing to a date - maybe they are trying to cut costs by shortening the season!

We're out in June and were looking forward to visiting the Beach Club but it won't surprise me a bit if it doesn't open until July.  I  will be writing to Customer Services about this  -  We've already had to put up with the postponement of the Hotel and the delay in providing the shops and sporting facilities .....the least they can do is make the existing services available to us!

Can i suggest that owners write to Roda about this individually, and also maybe raise it with your  Communidas representative.

Regards, Viv

I would suggest writing to Ana Escribano (aescribano@rodagolf.com) - She was Roda's representative at our Community AGM.

Hi Beadso

The answer to your query is YES.

On my visit to the beach club last September I had a conversation with a local resident and he told me that they are allowed in but are not allowed access to the Pool area.

Dare I suggest that allowing locals access will be the only way that it can become profitable because relying on scant support from Roda residents would only result in closure.

My wife and I had a 55 seat bus to ourselves to take us along to the Club and we were the only Roda residents there in a grand total of 6.  The place needs filling up to create some atmosphere.

Hi Beardso

12 euros per person return for buses and ferry.

Food was not cheap. For a family of 4 you are looking at E100 for the day out minimum.
