Los Naranjos Phase 2

Hi all,

Just had a call from Polaris regarding my phase 2 penthouse apartment. They said that I would get a call from completions team fairly soon! I only recently got a call to say that everything was on hold and they had not started the build on phase 2 yet.

Can anyone who has been out there recently shed any light on this?

Are there any other phase 2 owners out there who have been contacted by Polaris?

Some friends of ours purchased on phase 2 , and when we were out at our apartment we went to see customer services to find some info on when completion would be as they were told Sept 09, we were told that phase 2 has been delayed for approx 2/4 years!!!!, our friends as you can imagine hit the roof as they had not been contacted. Since then they have been contacted only to buy a furniture package, and air con, they and their solicitor have been trying in vain to speak to someone, they also keep receiving lists of apartments still for sale,but not reduced at all. It has now got to the stage that they are wanting a refund of there £59,000, but simply no one wants to know , including their solicitor!!!!, as you can imagine they are not happy, as if they can get their money back they can then purchase one of the reduced properties for sale at a much less cost.

             We also purchased originally on Phase 2 but through this forum we became aware that there were delays on this Phase and (also Mirador) in October last year. We contacted Polaris and were given the opportunity to transfer to another apartment on Phase 1. They arranged a viewing trip and we have since transferred and completed on on our new apartment and have also started furnishing. We are more than pleased with the outcome, especially as the phase 1 apartments were slightly cheaper than the release price on Phase 2.

I would give Polaris a call and arrange a viewing trip at their expense of course and go over and speak directly to them you can then see how the resort has come on.  I would think that there are still plenty of apartments available.

It depend which phase 2 you are talking about as my apartment is on Naranjos phase 2 and we completed last October so a better description of the location your are in would help like block number and someone will be able to help.

The apartment is a ground floor penthouse in Block 5 - A050H

Sounds like Polaris Customer Services lady had it wrong though if others were being told 2 years or more! I also have had very little help from our Solicitors Domus Consulting, but we are going out in May so will give Polaris HQ a personal visit!

I am starting to think that due to the current climate these phase 2 penthouses might never get built!

We wre due to buy A Phase 2 Penthouse and had been told of the delays. We have since revisited and bought a Phase 1 Penthouse which we stayed in for the first time a few weeks ago and are really pleased. But we also tried to get money back with no luck, their contracts are watertight as no time constrictions, just say they will be finished 18 months from start of build. They will pay for a free trip and hotel accomodation to see available properties, but i do not think there are any Penthouses left in current blocks with Polaris.
