La Isla Del Condado Completion

Hi,

Could someone please explain to me the benefits of going for a mortgage with a Spanish bank for example in Euros over a UK bank? If you can fix a rate of around 2.99% here in the UK for a 2 year period, why on earth would anyone want to secure a mortgage with an overseas bank?

Does anyone have a further update regarding when we can expect to complete on La Isla..?? I was told last Friday when I went to see Polaris head office customer service to expect to complete around the end of July 09..?? I have no idea if this target is too ambitious as I havent been onto La Isla to inspect. I have no clue how anyone managed to gain access to the island as per previous posts as I attempted every approach possible with the security guard and he was very firm as was customer services saying that it would be a serious breech of health and safety if I were to have access to inspect.

I have my bank account now set up, I have sent back the NI request form to Polaris. Is there anything else left to do apart from furnish the place? Is there any additional administrative things to complete other than wills, etc?

Is everyone happy with progress then on La Isla and CDA in general?

Like I said in my previous post I spoke very nicely to the guard (not saying you didn't) and I got a sneak preview, hence the photos I have posted. Yes very pleased with progress as a July date would put us 6 months ahead of original completion dates. The only thing left would be for you to check out insurance for your contents etc until taxes & bills start arriving. May be PW do monitor this site and have since clamped down on access.
