Hi Scrufty,
We saw the walkways whilst we were there over Xmas and New Year.
The one that is at Playa Flamenca beach is still mostly fenced off and the whole of the beach shop area is still in a muddle. However, at La Zenia, the walkway going round to Cabo Roig is usable and looks wonderful. It starts right by the bech front and is constructed of white marble with silver and coloured metal railings. We walked it round to Le Capitans Beach. It has lighting and seating along the way with fantastice views. Of course the inevitable graffitti had started here and there, why do the Spanish kids have to do that on anything new? So annoying........
The only thing missing I thought, was access steps to the beach at strategic points. I can imagine loads of families climbing the railings to join the beach or walkway at certain points. Eventually, this walkway will stretch from Punta Prima, via the new marina and beach aresa, round to La Zenia, Le Capitans and on to Capo Roig.It will make our coastline fabulous.
i will get updates from neighbours as and when i can.
Kind regards, (wishing I was back there already.........),
