think we are kidding with remote controls, us we buy in a closed urbanization with security 24 hours if the door is never worked in the construction problem, we were given a remote control that was not valid for this and now I have to change, not our problem, I think the manager does not fight enough, on the other hand the price is exorbitant remote controls to purchase 700.

One main reason we are not gated is that road is in fact a public road and owned by the council !!!! it is a similar situation to Sotogrande where there are barriers to the estate but you can drive through.

I have checked my remote for DV, it has Puertas Cubells on the front , but appears to be a JCM Technologies key fob. In the UK appears to go under the name of Slavedor Nec.
In fairness to AEA the fobs in the UK were more expensive than the price AEA are seeking, but the one site did suggest that it was an old sytem & fobs were now is short supply & only available by special order. This assumes they work at 433Mhz, but not sure if the frequency in Spain would be the same. My earlier comments re being ripped off may appear to have been a bit hasty.

The system we have installed was still current a few months ago as I meet other people from other urbs. with same remote fobs.
Our system is in 433Mhz band allocation. It will be 433.92 or 433.94 and these are european band frequencies for remote devices for cars, gates and things like remote weather stations.
Below is the two versions of programming instructions, and for our system I needed a working remote.
HOW TO PROGRAM YOUR TRANSMITTER

Couple of points:
1. Ferreteria Morales - can provide copy remote at about 45 euros. AEA obviously cheaper then!!
2. Somewhere between 11.30am this morning and 1.30pm this afternoon, AEA changed their minds and you no longer need to buy the remote!! I went in this morning and thought they might accept my debit card (only cash or cheque though), so went back after shopping to pay for and pick up the remote, only to be told no need!
There must have been some complaints, because she said that "lots of people (including me!) have the remotes with only one button" and that until the next meeting (management or AGM) it would remain as it is now. I thought the whole point was to supply the remotes with two buttons - we all knew that most of us were issued with "one button" remotes!!
So there you go!!

Just seeing maryluv's post on the other thread, thought I'd mention that the exit barrier will, apparently, be in operation from tomorrow - so new remotes wil be required now. Am going to AEA's office tomorrow morning and will confirm what's happening.

Popped in to AEA's office this morning and they advise that our existing remotes will operate exit barrier, as well as the entrance and garage doors. So no need to buy a new one!

We have just returned from a week in DV with some lovely sunshine. We were a bit concerned whilst checking through the post at the gatehouse to see the guard opening the barriers for every car that entered and exited DV. He didn't even wait to see if anyone was trying their remote and then open the barrier, as soon as a car arrived and was rolling up to the barrier he pressed the remote on his desk and opened the barrier. What is the point of having the barrier? I've reported this to AEA but I'm not sure that anything will be done. If a driver either does not have a remote or the remote does not work then the guard should go and speak to that driver and take a note of their registration number, etc. We might just as well not have the barriers. The same thing happened when we were over last year and I told the lady security guard that she should not be opening the gate as everyone is issued with a remote and questions should be asked if a driver does not have one, so on that occasion she did go and speak to the car driver with a notebook in hand. Obviously this only worked while I was watching. We are not able to make it to the AGM and should be grateful if someone could raise the question about security as it benefits all of us.
