Huge Electricity Bill

Has anyone else at La Reserva had a huge electricity bill for March?  We are in the UK and have a tenant at our apartment.  Endesa have just taken over 200 euros from our bank account, having taken about 70 for February but only about 12 for January. 

According to our letting agent, the tenant is adamant that this figure cannot be correct.  As we haven't seen any paper bills since last November, we don't know what is actual and what is estimated and we can't access our Endesa account online.   When we had a tenant last year, the deduction was never more than 100 euros per month.  I have seen from the general forum that Endesa's meter reading habits can be erratic.

Any help on this subject would be appreciated. 

Thats interesting because I went over recently and I had electricity bills for months when my apartment was not occupied.  As they are only small amounts I have let them go as they were possibly estimated then correct readings but I will be watching from now on. I am going to dig the bills out and see if I can queury them.

PS La Reserva is looking great

There is a minimum monthly charge I believe - hence the bills for around 12 euros a month over the winter with no electricity being used,

La Reserva owners...you are not alone....At Los Lagos de Santa Maria, Elviria we have just received bill for 259 euros, another person has a bill for 239 euros. All English owners, Spanish neighbours bill 80 euros !!!!!!
