The embryo CE Residents Association is up and running and the third meeting will be held in the Golf Clubhouse on Friday 14th at 6 for 6.30 pm all are welcome to come along and partake in the meeting it is strictly one man one vote and membership is free.

We are finally legal and honest.

The Delegacion Del Gobierno Huelva have finally returned all our paperwork signed and sealed and this now means that the RA exists and is properly registered.

We now have to have the first General Assembly (AGM) to elect the commission (Committee) in very quick time. The date has been set for Thursday 4th December with the first call at 6.00pm and the second call at 6.30pm (6 for 6.30).

The Agenda has been kept very short, 3 items and any other business, so that the meeting should not last very long but it is vital that as many people as are in CE on the day attend to get the RA off to a good start.

Since the RA is new it has no members as yet, except that the steering committee that presented the proposal to the Junta will be there to conduct the opening business. From there it is necessary to join the association and pay a joining/first year fee. To do this you will have to append your name to the members list together with your NIE (DNI, Residencia) No. pay the €5 and sign the roll. If you have one there will be space for an email address so that the committee can keep all members informed of progress.

Nominations will then be sought for the commission and if there are 10 or more volunteers votes will be cast among the members to elect the commission.

The statutes are as required by the law covering this area article 22 of the Spanish constitution dated 27th December 1978.

What  dumbo I am the date for the meeting should read 4th November this Thursday so please accept my apologises and if you are in Esuri come down to the Golf Club at 6.00pm and join us in our bid to improve our Urbanisation.

If you are a resident of Costa Esuri Ayamonte you should be registered on the Padron which entitles you to vote in the Local and European Elections. We have just had a notice to tell us that the register of electors is being drawn up and we have returned the tear off bit to the election body in Huelva to allow us to vote in the European elections.

I have now been told that for the local elections a separate voters list is being drawn up at the Town Hall and that it is very simple to register there also.

You  can do this at the Town Hall  on Laguna Square or at your Gestoria (mine Ramon has a supply of forms) but it is important to do this if you want to influence the local political scene. The current Mayor who refused to call in the Mortgage Guarantee against Fadesa is running a minority administration and can be dislodged with a small push from concerned voters.

So get on down there and register and exercise your right remember "No taxation without representation".
