I had a similar problem back in late March. It turned out the even though I have direct debit arrangement with them, my account was for a short period in Jan 2010, in red when they tried to take the money.They were able to get their money for the rest of the year - Feb, March etc but for just Jan, the bill was not paid according to them. I didn't spot that in the e-statement until I got cut-off. Also, they have the wrong address on me so they claimed they have sent out letter warning me, I never received them.
Anyway, I called them from UK and asked to speak to someone in English. She took my VISA and clear the overdue payment and arranged for a next-day reconnection ( that was the quickiest they can do she told me).
Who is the agent looking after your apartment down there ? If it is APM, then Carol should be able to give you the number to call. I am at work so I don't have the details now. If you still got problem, email me and I will send you the number later.
I got a different problem which I will take the opportunity to raise it here. My fridge apparently is not working ( not getting cold) even though the freezer is working fine. The apartment is just a little over a year old. Has anybody come across similar problem ?
