Spainish Property Tax

Hi Everyone !

Have been away from this forum for months. It's good to be back in touch.  I got a quesion regarding the above.  Can anyone tell me when the tax is due, and know of any good company that does that.   My ex solicitor the infamous (one recommended by MRI) tried to pursuade me to get them to do it but I declined.

Welcome back lol!  Hope you are well!  How are you getting on?  If remember correctly you were letting with MRI for a while.  How'd did that work out for ya?  Many lettings or avoid? 

I am too worried about tax to be honest and was hoping 'altoday' would post a recommendation on this thread as its something I want to set up.  Did anyone pm you or?

Any info on what people have done here is welcome, I have been told if you own a property in Spain you owe tax on it! Whether you earn an income on it or not.  If anyone has any info please let me know.

I was tempted to reply earlier but I didn´t want to get involved in arguments about promoting particular businesses. Now I have had the invite I feel a bit better about posting on this thread.

Jacqui and I use Alberto Cantón as our Gestoria. Gestoría Cantón is based towards the far end of the main street in El Ejido. Alberto was recommended to us a number of years ago by Alcor Properties and we have used him ever since. He speaks good English and I think he now lives in Almerimar while working in offices in El Ejido and Vicar.

Last mention we made of him on the Almerimar Today site was in December 09 about this particular issue of property tax.  See the story at:

Alberto is very happy to answer queries for us if you have any general questions you want to ask. He provides this service on the basis that we will publish answers to general questions on the Almerimar Today site with a link to the company he works for. Also, he knows we will recommend him if people ask us for a Gestoría as he does a good job for us.

I am well thank you.   I have been away again since I posted the thread.  Hope to visit this forum more from now on.  Is anyone visiting Portofino this coming Easter ?  We plan to spend the weekend there and would love to have a beer with other Protofinians.
