IBI tax - how much do you pay?

I'm being charged 109 euros for a three bed apartment in the Jardines, just wondered how that compares to others with a three bed?

We have been in touch with Alhama council about ibi tax for a ground floor apartment on La Isla and because it is in both mine and my wifes name we will both have to pay €94 each total €184 we think this is excessive and have asked our solicitor to look in to it.Has anyone else been charged double for joint ownership?and how much is anyone else on La Isla paying Regards Pat

I paid last week and admit I am a little confused! I thought I was due to pay 55.58 Euros x 2 as my wife and I have our names on a penthouse jointly. I paid at a branch of La Caixa in Alhama but was assured by the man behind the counter I only needed to pay a single 55.58 Euros. I have a suspicion the bank clerk may be wrong - we shall see!

because the app is on 2 names we had to pay 2 X 55€

 Thats correct if both yourself and your wife are on the deeds you pay for each person.

Have just had an e-mail from Alhama council and they have said that they will be opening an office in Al Kasar on Condado in the next few days and that you can pay your ibi tax there. regards Pat
