Bus Service

I saw a thread a little while ago re: a new bus service from Murcia to Puerto Mazarron via Condado. Is this happening and if so anyone got timetables prices etc.

The last official word on a Bus service was that Alhama Council are looking in to it, last year they said they had budgeted from March this year, that has been and gone.

With Councils across the whole of Spain having their Budgets Cut or frozen for 4 years it seems unlikely we will get a service in the near future.

The biggest reason for lack of most services including the Bus is simply not enough people live here to make anything viable, this also explains why TV and Internet is expensive (Lucky to have it) also why we only have one bar and restuarant.

Cuts or no cuts, I do not think that Alhama Council have opened a town hall office on Condado just to serve the small number of permanent residents on there. It does not make sense to open such an office and not provide public transport for people to use it. like the UK, not everyone has access to their own transport, it would make sense to provide a bus service. lets hope that is the case here.

Hi All,

Don't think we will get a bus service until the new  Alhama Council Offices are built near to the entrance of Condado, I think they are supposed to be starting these after the summer, but not sure, probably cancelled like everything else due to the recession.
