new neighbour

Hi all

We are a couple  with a young family from Dublin,We are interested in buying a property in the resort we are very nervous as we have never been in mazarron before.We have very little info on the area and the guy wants us to view it next week.The guy is julio from Atlantis he got us the mortgage and said he would meet us at the airport and put us up in a hotel for two nights he wants a deposit if we are interested,We have tried to get info on the net,but we dont know anybody who bought in the resort .we are afraid of making a big mistake.Can anybody pls send us any info about the mojon hills resort as it all seems to good to be true!!!

We bought eighteen months ago and are very happy. The location is fabulous with views to die for. Isla Plana village is also very quaint.  There are a good mixture of ex-pats and Spanish - say 50/50 which in our view is good. The beaches are excellent and La Azohia as just got a blue star rating. Shopping in the Port is also very good with and excellent selection of restaurants. Like all of Spain, in latter years the economy has suffered and some pre-sales pulled out. Julio was very helpful to us in sorting out our requirements. Enjoy:)

We bought an appartment in phase 3B and are satisfied so far. We love the views. Julio was very friendly and helpful. Make good agreements when you decide to pay a deposit.  The after sales service could be better... We used a lawyer for all administration as we were not familiar to Spanish laws and customs and did not want to have unpleasant surprises afterwards. (also for wills) No worries :). If you should consider taking one we can higly recommend Mc-Consulting Services in Los Belones.

I can also highly recommend Mojon Hills. If you value the sea view high, this is far better than the numerous more expensive Costa Blanca projects where you have to cross a web of highways to get to the coast. BUT, don't pay Atlantia anything until you are sure that they have delivered what you agree upon!! AND, even though Julio confirms in an email that he has delivered what he promised, you should first see it with own eyes. In our case, we are still waiting for the agreed completion of the property, 9 months after we bought it (which we paid for when we got his email confirmation that it was already done).    

Isla Planna is really nice and Mojon Hills a perfect location with excellent views. The Atlantia properties are finished to a high standard, but there is a recession and therefore many properties for sale so don't be pressured. Be 100 % satisfied before handing over money or signing on the dotted line.
