Did anybody else recieve a text recently stating that there were some outstanding community fee's and to reply to the text or call the number 0034 968328024?

 

I recieved that text last night and it seemed a bit odd as thats not how companies usually behave and i'm always a bit wary of this type of approach, especially as I have had a direct debit set up for the last 18 months.

Hi Andy

The text will be genuine, and from the administrators, Mileniun.  They are currently in the process of trying to collect any unpaid community fees from owners based on the information passed to them by the previous administrators, RPM.

Mileniun decided that as a first port of call a text was maybe the most cost effective way of trying to contact owners.  If this approach has no success then they will use, e-mail, and then letters etc.

It may be that you do not have any unpaid community fees as the information passed to RPM from Mileniun was in a bit of mess, but if you contact Mileniun, they should be able to tell you what period they think you owe money for, and you can then check if you have paid it or not.

I had a significant amount of correspondence on "unpaid" community fees with Milenium following the handover from RPM, despite the fact that I knew I was up to date.

It transpired that I was on record as owing fees which Polaris World actually owed i.e. fees which had accrued prior to me completing.  This debt has now been transferred to PW.

Not sure if mine was an isolated case but something to be aware of when discussing "unpaid" fees with Milenium - make sure they have the correct completion date on file.

Thanks to both Simon and David on your replies. The advice is sound. Any idea how to contact Milenium? I'm in London. Do they have an e mail address and is the phone number what they sent to me i.e. 0034 968328024

Hi Andy

We are in Naranjos 7 and received the same text yesterday. I assume they are contacting people in blocks

We are also up to date with community fees, both historically with RPM and have also paid all this years fees to date with the new administrator

I have emailed them at admin@cdagr.eu suggesting they may just require my up to date contact details/email address

Hi

I have just spoken to Mileniun and the lady advised me that I owe fees from last year. They have said I need to show bank statements to prove the money has gone out whilst RPM were in charge.

It does take many attempts to get through to them though so you may have to keep trying.

Just had a response back by email advising they think I may owe a payment from last year

Fortunately, my online banking facility allows me to search back to early 2009 and I have definitely paid all of 2009 fees (they were taken in 3 lump sums by RPM for our Jardin

Yes we to have had the same text message.  All our community fees are up to date.  We pay 73 euros per month for our property.  219 euros were taken out in May for Jan, Feb and Mar.  219 euros taken out in June for Apr, May and Jun.  However 188 euros have just be taken again for (I am assuming Jul and Aug) but this works out at 94 euros.

We have not been told our  community fees are going up (I am hoping they have gone down and this is for 3 months).

We are also up to date with our community fees for 2009.

Really peed off sometimes with the crappy way they run their officialdom in Spain.  It's always us that have to prove we have paid and never the other way round.

Had a right shi**y day in work so excuse the quite mild rant for me.

We don't owe anything in community fees, however Milenium still owe us money from back in March!  We have previously emailed them at least 3 times and even went into the office when we were over in July.

They admitted they have made a mistake as they took our downstairs neighbours fees from our account instead of ours - I took all the our little slips which the bank have sent to us for our community fee payments with me and the girl in the office took photocopies and said it would be sorted out and we would receive our refund....... We are still waiting, but we are back over in a couple of weeks time and we will be going in to see them again.

Don't think admin wise they are any better than RPM

Reading this thread just makes me feel disappointed as I had hoped this new management team had their finger on the pulse. It's not altogether the fact they have contacted people that are up to date and queried whether they have paid- maybe they have to do that if their records are poor, but its not professional that things do not get sorted quickly. Mistakes happened with RPM but for the new group not to be 'on the ball' when someone brings data to their attention is very poor.

Jane I think your final payment would be for July, Aug and Sept. I havent read anywhere that they are collecting 2monthly rather than 3 monthly and CC's are reducing rather than rising. A decision was made to take out a further payment in July to move the CdA service payments from always being late and incurring late payment fee's from the Banks etc.

If my memory serves me correctly the office at Al Kazar isnt open usual UK hours and this may be why people are having problems contacting them. I know mornings are the best to contact people in Spain generally.

I've no doubt sorting RPM's disasters has been very challenging- the fact it has been necessary to post a list of apartments owners for whom the management company dont have any contact details is very telling. Unfortunately Milenium need to show they are at the top of their game and on the evidence on this thread they are not. Howevr, I wont decry them totally as I believe they have a hard job and people dont like getting a text saying they owe money , when they dont ,so the thread is likely to be negative. Fingers crossed this all improves and gets sorted quickly.

Just who do people go to if the management company don't resolve a problem like the one Jackie has?

I just checked my account and I have payments going out back to 7 October 09 which was the first payment, and the largest, followed by another the following month. and then Jan, Apr, Jun and July all in 2010 . As far as i'm concerned they have been taking payments out on a semi regular basis in larger multiples and not monthly like some of the other guys here.

 

I emailed the address Waddle suggested earlier in the thread and hope for a reply detailing where they think I have not paid. At least that way I'll know where they think i'm missing payments and will be able to prove it otherwise through bank statements.

 

I'm not out there again until September so i'm going to have to do this remotely. Lets hope they can sort out the admin issues and get on with the important job in hand.

Got all my bank statements out last night and added all the money they have taken in community fees.

For some reason we pay 73 euros per month for our Penthouse whilst others pay from 68 to 70 euros per month.

When I added all the amounts paid and divided it by 19 months (we completed Feb 2009 up to Aug 2010) we have actually paid 75.53 euros every month.

I have e-mailed Mileniun to ask them to clarify what we owe and how we have paid too much - only 2.53 euros i know but over the years this could add up to a curry for me and hubby.

The payment you made on July is for three months not two, so yes the fees have gone down.

The fees on your apartment are €62.71 from July onwards, down from €73.40 last year.

Hope that explains it.

When I was at the apartment last, I was in the pub watching the Spain semi final and got chatting to one of the presidents of a jardin (forgotten the name, jardin in fact most things as the beer was flowing), and he was saying that there was a vote at the electioon to pay more often but less to help the cash flow. I assume that was for those, like me, that pay what would be something like quarterly, even though its irregular months. Not sure how true that is. Lets hope that president who said that reads this forum and can add some fact to my drunken memory.

At the AGM the owners voted to pay the community charges in advance, which means in June (Between the 1st & 5th) we will pay 3 months for April, May and June. Then on 1st July we will pay for the 3 months of July, August and September. From now the fees will be paid every January, April, July, and October.  Over the past year the communty has always been overdrawn with the banks and has incured interest and other charges, this step was required to ensure that the community has money in the bank in advance to pay the bills.

Just to rebalance views on Milenium.

My direct debits stopped when Milenium took over and after an emil to them, sent at 1.32pm on the 1st June and got a response by 4.35pm! it transpired they had not been passed my bank details and the last payment made to RPM had not been registered and therefore they believed I was 1 quarter in arrears.

After scanning and emailing bank receipts to prove payment and sending a new bank mandate Ana at Milenum sorted it out extremely efficiently and without any problems or issues.

Now back up to date and am paid up till Sept.

Thanks for your reply.  Unfortunately a red mist descended over me over this because my husband and my have run here there and everywhere when we are over sorting out our lekky and rates.  For some reason they just don't seem to want to take our hard earned cash.  We still havn't paid our Urbaser. 

Now that I have become rational again I have been through all our payments and can see that our last lot taken is the correct amount of  62.71.  However we are still up to date and don't owe them any monies.

I emailed Ana (thanks Brett) and she promptly responded saying that copies of my 2009 bank statements showing the payments would clarify the debt situation. I'll scan them tonight and send them across. That will put an end to this issue for me.

Ana certainly seems prompt and on the ball. If you are in the same boat I would suggest an email with scanned copies of your bank statements as proof of payment in 2009.
